I will attempt to explain how I made my first dollar online — well, it was $25, but for simplicity, let’s call it a dollar.

If you’re reading this, I know you have some interest in or have cracked the code to making money on the internet. If you have, congrats, if you haven’t, stick around, this will be helpful.

Back in 2017, I was a struggling immigrant in the United States, I had just moved from Nigeria and still trying to adjust to my new home.

I was struggling to find a well-paying job and the one I did find only paid about $9 an hour. Even then, I was grateful to be able to pay my share of the rent, my phone bill and buy my own food.

But deep down, I knew something had to change, that’s when I started researching. I watched a ton of Youtube videos because I couldn’t afford courses.

After a few weeks, all the resources I consumed brought me to the same conclusion, I would either need to invest money or my time, since I only had time, I went for the latter.

I had $100 to invest, so I bought a domain name and invested the rest in a blog hosting service — and my blog was born.
